FKA Twigs Makeup Tutorial

I've been so excited to share this tutorial with you guys! It's inspired by one of my fav artists at the moment, the great FKA Twigs!

After putting out her first album LP1 (buy it and listen to it - she is amazing), I listen to her nearly everyday, she's also different the usually makeup inspired looks that most do, which is why I really wanted to do this.

I hope you guys enjoy and make sure you subscriber to my channel for more videos.

Beauty Buys No.1

Every so often I go out to my fav drugstores and makeup shops to purchase either my usual products or try something different. I call these purchases my Beauty Buys of BBs. So today these are the products I bought.

Neutrogena daily cleansing lotion - Works wonders for spot prone skin (a holy grail product of mine).

Barry M gel nail Polish in Elderflower - Liked the blue/grey tone. Perfect for the season.

MAC Prolongwear Concealer in NC42 (sample) - You can get samples from MAC. I wasn't sure about a shade that I wanted to get for highlighting under my eyes, so I got a sample first before paying £17. (Wasting money is never my objective).

Eylure Pro-Lash Individuals - I love individual lashes, I have become an expert at putting them on. They give my eyes this really nice flirty/cat eye feel.

Nip + Fab Pistachio Butter - I have a thing for body butters, especially nutty ones. So I stumbled across this Pistachio butter and wanted to see what its about. So far I like the consistency (review coming soon, give me a week).

Bobbi Brown Lip Pencil in Cocoa - So MAC Soar has been sold out for bloody ever. Apparently it's not even in the country *rolls eyes*. So I went to bobbi brown and ended up in nude/neutral coloured lip pencil heaven. The Cocoa shade is near enough the same as MAC Soar and Bobbi Brown lip pencils also come with a really nice sharpener. So your getting two items, which made me a very happy shopper.

And thats its for Today's BBs.

Simple Breakfast

So guys I have not been very eating very well during this past week. Keeping up a healthy lifestyle can be hard sometimes when your a foodie haha. But nonetheless, I am getting back on track and today I had one of my favourite things for breakfast. As always a run through of my breakfast and this may also give you all ideas on how to start adding bits of healthy stuff into your lifestyle...

I love granola with warm milk. Ugh it just tastes so good. The granola I buy is from Morningflake. This morning this one has clustered/single oats and raisin with small slices of coconut, as I said its so good. I had it with almond milk, which is soo damn delicious. Its far from sweet and is quite creamy in taste which I like.

I then decided to have half of a pink grapefruit. I had been looking everywhere for them as they had stopped selling them at my local supermarket for a while, which kinda upset me seeing as they are one of my favourite fruits. But you can't go wrong with a any fruit, just don't eat too much because too much of anything is bad and fruit do carry a lot of sugar when consumed in big amounts.

Green Tea. I love green tea. It tastes good and also helps to speed up metabolism (which is a big plus.

As always, I like to read whilst eating. This months Vogue I had to get as the Lovely Jourdan Dunn was on the cover. Plus the latest catwalk edit was attached and this helps me with my writing etc. (Fashion Editor for simplyoloni.com < check it out).

And there you have it guys. My breakfast in a nice nutshell.

Sculpting My Cheeks

My cheekbones are quite high but when I put on a one tone/colour makeup product this gets taken away. This is why Highlighting and Contouring comes in to play and make everything look perfect and FIERCE.

Watch my Video to find out how I achieved my sculpted cheeks.

Reviving my Hair

I got my hair done as you guys know and I've been loving it. However   this week it had started to play up and became very greasy. So this is when my hair rescue products came into play, (this also works on my natural hair too).

My hair rescue team consists of 3 products:

1. Aussie Dry Shampoo

I love the concept of dry shampoo and I also love Aussie products. This helps to break down the grease in my hair without having to go under the shower. All that is needed is a quick spray on my hair and then I leave it in for a few minutes to really work. Then a quick brush to get the product out and my hair it then left looking refreshed and flowing like before.

2.John Freda Frizz Ease Serum

I love Frizz Ease! It's one of those products that protects your hair. I use this as a heat protectant and also to help my hair from the curse of humidity. This stuff keeps my hair dead straight which is what I need - especially in these rainy, wintery times.

3. Organix Argan oil

I recently purchased this and I'm so glad that I did. I needed an oil for my weave as after the dry shampoo and straightening, my hair can look slightly dry and a loss of shine is noticeable. When I use this oil which spritz out, it is perfect for adding a weightless and  non-greasy moisture. This is why I love it so much. It gives my hair the right amount of balance in terms of moisture, adds shine and gives it my hair sleek finish which is perfect for fly aways.

So there you have it my way of getting my hair out of the dumps and looking frikkin' awesome.
