I've been asked by a few peeps how I remain happy and positive through life and Wahey blog post idea.
Often in life we will all face and walk into situations that are going to make you angry, upset, pissed off and down right sad but we must always remember that these are just feelings that will pass and last but a moment. How long that moment is? Only you can answer that , but speaking for myself I like things to be dealt with swiftly, like cutting the throat of a chicken or something (slightly gory and GOT it but you get what I mean).
When negative situations arise in my life I often like to deal with them head on. None of this dilly dallying/back and forth sh*t. When situations fester they just tend to get bigger and bigger until you are literally consumed in it. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN (I've done this a few times - nothing ends well). As soon as it I feel a certain way I state how I feel, one of my downfalls is that I expect the person to understand and acknowledge them (which is not always the case). But one this is done things usually sort themselves out and I am back to being happy happy joy joy.
If I've stated my feelings and thoughts and the situation is still there and does not resolve then there is nothing I can do and therefore I leave it. However if things keep arising I just let it be known that I see this crap, I've taken in this crap, This is how I feel YET AGAIN and thats that. After a while I just cut off and resume life.
We will always come across individuals who thrive off of negativity - recognise those and stay away from such demons, they will literally feed off you and drain you - do not try to understand them just keep it moving.
Now how to stay positive!
I often find that in order to stay positive you have to know what makes you happy and how to get out of a funk.
Let me be all the way honest - I did not pop out in this world with a tag saying "guaranteed happiness for all eternity" (this is not maleficent, fairies did not bless me at birth). But I always know how to get away from poopy vibes and get my happy back.
Firstly, I think of all the things I am thankful for.
- may sound highly bleh but its true and it could be anything. I am thankful for the fact I have a roof over my head, I am thankful for my family who support me no matter what dumb arse mistakes I make. I am thankful that I have a job and money. I am thankful that I have the best set of girls and one in particular (Tashy bae), I am thankful for being able to wake up everyday to think of all the things I am thankful for.(so sarffftttt (soft but say with a Jamaican accent you'll get it).
Secondly, Music! Music is my husband. I thank my parents highly for my musical education and allowing me to explore and like what I like. Music is literally medicine for the soul. I can wake up feeling like a right b*tch. But then I'll play some Willow smith or Peter $un etc (I'll link my soundcloud at the end) and I'll just be swaying and all of a sudden I'm all smiles.
Thirdly, working out. Its hard work but it makes me feel like yes I've achieved something today and who doesn't feel good after that?
Fourthly, Being me. Literally just being goofy and doing random things, joking about, talking continuously, laughing, being a down right hippy (my daisy chains are flames). I enjoy my own company sometimes.
I believe I've listed what I can at the top of my head but really I am a firm believer of if you think positive, positivity will come and as I said negative vibes are only for a moment but its up to YOU as to how long you let that moment last for.
