Everyone always has that point in life where they truly learnt to love themselves and mine happened this year.
I don't exactly know what made me feel happy and confident within myself but I know that this feeling will never leave me and no one can tear it down.
Firstly I learnt the art of acceptance. I learnt to accept my good and bad attributes, both mental and physical. Slowly creeping into my twenties means that I'm a woman now, but I always thought you had to be or act a certain way in order to be seen as "womanly". I realised that there is no clear definition of what it means to be a woman or to act like one. We are all different and even if we have similarities, we are still different. So learning to accept and be happy with Me was the first step.
Accepting that things/situations happen and you can't change them. This took me a while to understand, as I always liked believe that you can change all bad decisions and mistakes when in fact this is not a fairy tale, I'm no princess and I cannot call upon my fairy godmother to wave her wand. You literally do have to fall down and pick yourself up to be stronger than you were. This is growth. Growth is good.
Accepting people for being them. The same way I've accepted my flaws is the same way I accept other people's flaws, I don't have to put up with them (a good telling off is needed sometimes), but accepting them is better than trying to change that person for my own selfish requirements.
Secondly, I care less.I live for me. I say whats on my mind. I do what I feel is right and if its wrong I learn. As I said I live for me. #TeamCarefree
Thirdly, having positive people around at all times is the best thing to do. The closest people to you will always be the ones who have the biggest impact on your life. They will help to push you into certain directions and support you through everything and anything. Positive vibes always bring positive energy.
To be honest all I'm trying to say is be yourself, accept that things go your way sometimes and don't go your way, accept that some people are for/not for you and have positive energy around.
Now, I'm now saying I'm happy go lucky and Ms Confident all the time but doing those things work. They really do.
