As women take such pride in our appearance but when it comes down to our hair, we do not play any sort of games. Weave and wigs have been apart of the hair industry for centuries! From Queen Cleopatra to Marie Antoinette to Rihanna, adding hair is just what we do. 

But we always want to do it well. The leave out needs to blend with the hair, closure knots need to be bleached, lustre needs to be on point, wefts intact and not to bulky, little to no shedding and the list is endless.

One thing that we are always on the hunt for is good quality weave but of an affordable price because lets face it ladies, we may want to be able to swing our hair like Beyonce but we cant afford beyonce prices. This is why there has now been a rise in the amount of money that is spent on the well known site Aliexpress.com.

Aliexpress is a site where you can buy mostly everything but the weave sector is HUGE. So many different vendors and so many different types of hair, how do you possibly choose?

I am going to give you a few tips on how to be weave smart when buying off Aliexpress.

 What hair you want honey?

As I mentioned above, Aliexpress is the homeland of weave. It is literally EVERYWHERE. So what you first need to do is decided what type of hair you want. I’ll break down the main ones,

Brazilian

Peruvian

Malaysian

Indian

Mongolian

Then you’ve got your textures of hair such as,

 Straight

 body wave

 deep wave

 kinky curly

loose curl

loose wave

Then there’s colours which are broken into numbers and letters,

Black = 1

Natural black = 1b

The theres the grades of hair,

5A - hair is 100% human hair that can be dyed up to a #4 color (medium brown).  Hair can last up to 3 months with proper care and washing.

6A - hair is 100% human remy hair that can be dyed up to a #27 color (strawberry blonde). This hair can last 6 months with proper care and washing.

7A - hair is 100% human remy hair with full cuticle that can be dyed up to a #613 color (platinum blonde). This hair can last 9 months- 1 year with proper care and washing.

I know, it seems daunting, but this is why I'm breaking it down for you and Aliexpress can have too many words sometimes.

 Read/watch reviews

ALWAYS before you buy any weave, read the reviews! Do not skip any either. Make sure you take in everything they say, look at pictures and the star ratings previous customers give, because just like you these women know what they want and will tell you exactly what happened with their hair.

Watch reviews, so you can see the hair in motion. Does it flow? Does it have the lustre you want? Does the weave look like the picture? Whats the shedding like? And even watch styling videos with the hair how do curls hold, how does it straighten?

Star rating of Vendor

Always check the rating of the entire store. 4/5 stars is always a green light.

Compare prices

Just because you spot a vendor with a good reviews, affordable prices and 7A hair, you may find another vendor offering you all that but maybe a bundle more for the same price of even cheaper.
